Melissa is the real deal. She has a background as a Div I college athlete and a competitive marathon runner. She’s coached group fitness classes, including indoor group running and weight fusion. Melis got into Lagree after suffering from a torn meniscus due to years of competitive long-distance running. She found her first Lagree experience to be humbling, yet addicting. “It’s fun, super challenging but the most rewarding form of exercise I’ve found yet. The results are NO joke!”

How would you describe your instructor style?
I have a bootcamp style – expect to move swiftly for 45 minutes, heart pumping accompanied by loud tunes. You’ll leave dripped in sweat.

What are your goals as an instructor?
My goal was always to welcome all levels of clients and encourage them to commit while always promising to get strong and grow with them.

What brought you to Houston?
My husband was relocated here for oil and gas finance. We came from New York City, where I called home for over 15 years. I originally grew up in near by Long Island.
